ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effects of robot-assisted therapy combined with mirror therapy (MT) on upper limbs in patients with hemiplegia after stroke. Methods:From January, 2017 to June, 2018, 56 patients with hemiplegia after stroke were randomly divided into control group (n = 28) and observation group (n = 28). The control group received conventional therapy, and the treatment group received robot-assisted therapy combined with MT, additionally. They were assessed with Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremities (FMA-UE), Wolf Motor Function Test (WMFT), Functional Independence Measure (FIM) and modified Barthel Index (MBI) before and four weeks after treatment. Results:Four weeks after treatment, the scores of FMA-UE, WMFT and MBI were better in both groups (t > 2.959, P < 0.05), and were better in the observation group than in the control group (t > 4.732, P < 0.001). Conclusion:Robot-assisted therapy combined with MT could improve the function of upper limb and activities of daily living in patients with hemiplegia after stroke.

ABSTRACT

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To explore the clinical efficacy and safety of three-step acupuncture (TSA) combined with small dosage antipsychotic in treating incipient schizophrenia (IS).</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Sixty IS patients were randomly assigned to the test group and the control group equally. Patients in the test group received the combined therapy of TSA and antipsychotic, while patients in the control group were treated by full-dose antipsychotic, all for 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy was assessed by the positive and negative syndrome scale (PANSS), and the adverse reaction was evaluated by treatment emergent symptom scale (TESS).</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>The clinical efficacy in the two groups showed insignificant difference at the end of the 8-week treatment (P > 0.05), but the total scores of PANSS evaluated at the end of the 2nd and 4th week in the test group (74.26 +/- 9.54, 56.33 +/- 10.12) were significantly higher than those in the control group (85.56 +/- 9.73, 70.57 +/- 9.62), respectively (P < 0.05), furthermore, TESS analysis showed that the incidence of adverse reactions in nervous system and autonomic nervous system in the test group were also lesser than in the control group (P < 0.05).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The combined therapy of TSA and small dose antipsychotic shows an efficacy equivalent to that of full-dose antipsychotic, but with shorter initiation time and less side effects.</p>

ABSTRACT

To study the chemical constituents of the Maackia amurensis, the constituents were isolated by various chromatographies and the structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and spectroscopic data (ESI-MS, 1D and 2D NMR). Thirteen isoflavone glycosides were isolated from the n-BuOH-soluble fraction of the 70% ethanol extract and identified as 7-hydroxy-4',6-dimethoxyisoflavone-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (1), dalsympathetin (2), ononin (3), glycitin (4), genestin (5), saikoisoflavonoside A (6), afrormosin-7-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside (7), gehuain (8), kushenol O (9), 7-hydroxy-4',6-dimethoxyisoflavone-7-O-beta-D-apiofuranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (10), tectoridin (11), biochanin A 7-O-beta-D-gentiobioside (12) and 7-hydroxy-4'-methoxyisoflavone-7-O-beta-D-apiofuranosy l-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranoside (13). Compound 1 is a new isoflavone glycoside, named as maackiaisoflavonoside, compounds 2, 8, 9, 10, 12 and 13 were isolated from this genus for the first time.
